Overview

Indiq is operated by Tarkya India Private Limited. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

Information We Collect

• Account and profile information provided by the user, including mobile number or email address, name, occupation, state, and an optional profile photo.
• Prediction activity such as selected market, prediction direction, confidence level, timestamp, settlement status, and points.
• Device and notification information required to operate the app, such as an account identifier, device or installation identifier, and push-notification token.
• Basic app analytics such as app opens, taps, and feature usage events to improve reliability and product experience.
• Indiq does not request precise device location. A user-selected state may be treated as coarse location information.

How We Collect Information

• We collect information directly from users when they sign in, create or update a profile, upload a profile photo, configure notifications, or submit a prediction.
• We collect limited technical and usage information automatically when the app communicates with our services.

How We Use Information

• To authenticate users and protect account access.
• To operate prediction history, profile statistics, leaderboards, and community sentiment features.
• To monitor abuse, fake participation, fraud, spam, or artificial sentiment manipulation.
• To improve product performance and reliability.

OTP and Messaging

SMS OTP is used only for transactional user authentication. Indiq does not use SMS for promotional messages, marketing campaigns, or unsolicited communication.

Data Sharing

• We use service providers such as Supabase for authentication, database, and storage services; Twilio for transactional OTP delivery; Railway for application hosting; Expo for app updates and push-notification infrastructure; and market data integrations needed to operate Indiq.
• We share only the information reasonably necessary for these providers to perform services on our behalf. We require providers handling user data to protect it consistently with this policy and applicable requirements.
• We do not sell personal data or use personal data for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking. We may disclose information where required by law, to protect users or the service, or in connection with a lawful corporate transaction.

Data Retention and Deletion

• We retain account and activity information while an account remains active and for only as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.
• Users can permanently delete their account in the app by opening Profile, selecting the Settings icon, and choosing Delete Account. Account deletion removes the authentication account and associated profile, predictions, scores, notification settings, push tokens, and profile photo from our active systems.
• We may retain limited information where required for legal, fraud-prevention, security, audit, or dispute-resolution purposes. Aggregated or anonymized information that cannot reasonably identify a user may also be retained.

User Choices and Consent

• Users may decline optional profile-photo and notification permissions without losing access to the app's core prediction features.
• Notification preferences can be changed in the app under Profile, Settings, Notifications, and device permissions can be withdrawn in iOS Settings.
• Users may withdraw consent for optional processing by disabling the relevant feature, removing optional profile information, deleting their account, or contacting connect@indiq.org.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect user information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children

Indiq is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If such information is identified, contact us so it can be deleted.

Policy Updates

We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. The current version and its effective date will remain available at this page.
